Advertising expenditure in Malaysia grew more than 12 per cent in the first half of this year to RM1.64 billion (US$420 million), with the highest contribution coming from the telecommunications, Government and real estate sectors, according to Nielsen Media Research. Nielsen was cautiously optimistic about the outlook for the full-year, saying growth could outpace last year's 2.6 per cent rate.
