Lowe Lintas & Partners Worldwide has formed an alliance with Daiko
Advertising in Japan as the first expansion project in Asia after
merging with Ammirati Lintas.
The Interpublic Group, the Lowe Group's affiliate partner, will acquire
a minority ownership of up to 20 per cent in Daiko.
Lowe formed a joint venture with Standard Advertising and acquired a
minority shares of the Japanese agency.
"When we launched Lowe Lintas & Partners five months ago, we said that
combining the strengthens of Lowe & Partners and APL would create one of
the world's leading networks," said Mr Frank Lowe, Lowe's chairman and
CEO.
"Daiko will be an important partner to us as we continue to build the
network."
In the alliance, Daiko will have access to Lowe's global networking
resources while Lowe will benefit from Daiko's presence in Japan.
