HEADLINES: IHT in Korean publishing partnership

<p>The International Herald Tribune and JoongAng Ilbo have announced </p><p>their intention to form a publishing partnership in Korea. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Under the deal, JoongAng Ilbo will produce an eight-page section in </p><p>English that covers news, economy, business, culture and sports in South </p><p>Korea. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>This section will be inserted into the IHT as a second section and will </p><p>be sold throughout the country by subscription and via newsstands. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>The partnership is expected to launch by before the end of the year. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>This is IHT's first such partnership in Asia; four other similar deals </p><p>have been struck over the past three years in Israel, Greece, Italy and </p><p>Germany. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Hakuhodo sets up China design office Hakuhodo has established a branch </p><p>of its Global MD (market design) centre in Hong Kong to provide </p><p>comprehensive and integrated solutions for Hakuhodo offices in the SAR, </p><p>Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>The solutions the centre can offer range from strategic planning to </p><p>creative expression and promotion. The new office has an initial staff </p><p>of three, with general manager Hiroshi Tago at the helm. </p><p><BR><BR> </p>
