HEADLINES: Godrej consolidates media functions

<p>Godrej, a major manufacturer of FMCG products, has consolidated its </p><p>media planning and buying functions with Mumbai-based Madison </p><p>Advertising. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Agencies that will take a hit because of this move - which followed </p><p>Coca- Cola's lead last year - are Ambience D'Arcy, Hindustan Thompson </p><p>(JWT) and Bates. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Godrej was advised by Anderson Consulting, which conducted the </p><p>evaluation and final selection. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Madison, which lost its fickle partner DMB&B in 1999 but was voted the </p><p>fourth most admired agency by corporates in India this year, went </p><p>head-to-head with heavyweights Leo Burnett's Starcom and Mudra for the </p><p>Godrej Sara Lee, Godrej Soaps, and Godrej Foods accounts. </p><p><BR><BR> </p>
