Mr Steve Garton has left ACNielsen to head up AMR Interactive's
expansion into the Asia-Pacific region. In his new position as chief
executive officer for Asia, Mr Garton said AMR has already "kicked off
in Hong Kong and would be setting up in premier markets around the
region in due course". AMR - an Australian-based market research company
- aims to provide complete interactive solutions to clients, not just to
conduct surveys. "There are huge opportunities for Internet research in
the region, but very little guide is given to marketers about how to
tackle online issues. What we are offering is a complete solution; it's
not just 'here's your data and bye-bye'," he told MEDIA. Mr Garton was
with ACNielsen for nine years, most recently as North Asia business
development director.
