HEADLINES: Fortune global rate base to hit one million

<p>Fortune will raise its North American rate base from 810,000 to </p><p>830,000, and international rate base from 155,000 to 170,000, for a </p><p>worldwide rate base of one million, effective January 2001. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Fortune posted its highest ever first-half newsstand sales for the first </p><p>six months of 2000, averaging 61,526, marking the magazine's 11th </p><p>consecutive six-month period of year-on-year newsstand growth. </p><p><BR><BR> </p>
