Fortune will raise its North American rate base from 810,000 to
830,000, and international rate base from 155,000 to 170,000, for a
worldwide rate base of one million, effective January 2001.
Fortune posted its highest ever first-half newsstand sales for the first
six months of 2000, averaging 61,526, marking the magazine's 11th
consecutive six-month period of year-on-year newsstand growth.
