HEADLINES: Dentsu posts 2.3pc decline, but predicts rebound
Dentsu has posted a 2.3 per cent decline in consolidated billings in the six months ending September, but expects a rebound in the second half. The agency blamed the first half decline to Y816.7 billion (US$7.5 billion) on economic uncertainty in Japan, stemming from Sars and the war against Iraq. For the full year to March, it forecasts billings to hit Y1,691.7 billion, virtually unchanged year-on-year.
