HEADLINES: China adspend soars 35pc in first half of this year

China's total adspend rose 35 per cent to Rmb86 billion (US$10.4 million) in the first half of this year, according to figures from Nielsen Media Research. The spend, which does not reflect discounts, was helped higher by the tonic and vitamin category, which grew 42 per cent year-on-year to Rmb9 billion.
