Asia-Pacific's adspend should continue to grow at a double-digit
rate this year, following the 12 per cent year-on-year growth for 1999,
according to Mr Frank Martell, ACNielsen's chief operating officer for
Asia and Japan.
"The Internet and telecoms sectors will help fuel growth and barring
unforeseen events we're expecting another year of growth at the double
digit rate," he told MEDIA.
On a country-by-country basis, Mr Martell said he expected robust growth
in the health and personal care categories in China, the insurance
sector in Hong Kong and the dotcom field in Hong Kong, China and
Singapore.
