HDT inks revenue-sharing deal with Cyber Communications

BEIJING - HDT, China's dominant rich media ad-serving company, has entered into a partnership with Cyber Communications Inc. (CCI), a leading interactive agency in Japan.

Under the revenue-sharing agreement, HDT, which controls about 70 per cent of the rich media ad-serving market in China, will support the Dentsu-owned agency with its rich media ad technology and video-streaming solution. The video solution, iStreaming, incorporates pre-roll and overlay ads into online video.

"Japan is a large market for advertising, so it will be a great lift for our company," Tao Li (pictured), HDT's chief operating officer, told Digital Media at Ad:tech Beijing. The agreement represents HDT's first major foray outside China and precedes an impending partnership with Taiwan interactive agency AdCast.
