Haymarket integrates Media and Digital Media

HONG KONG - Haymarket Media Asia is pleased to announce a significant integration of the region's leading media, marketing and advertising titles, Media and Digital Media.

The explosion of digital media platforms and concepts has presented both a challenging and exciting time for the regional marketing communications industry.

Accordingly, a digital platform will enable Digital Media to better explain developments in the digital space and its implications for brand owners, agencies, digital media owners, content and telecommunications providers.

Effective July, the news content of Digital Media will be integrated into Media, as the monthly magazine moves to deliver greater content in an online format.

The new Digital Media website will bring the region’s marketers and agencies the latest developments in new media technology and their impact on marketing communications.

The website will feature news, case studies, research, profiles, industry insights and analysis via podcasts, vodcasts and other rich media formats.

In addition, an email bulletin will deliver the latest in interactive and mobile marketing to readers on a daily basis.

Within a very short time, digital marketing has grown into an expandable interactive medium. This new integrated model will allow us to deliver richer content with multimedia components to our readers in the digital space, said Atifa Hargrave-Silk, editor-in-chief, Media titles.

Haymarket is delighted to announce David Tiltman, former features editor of Marketing UK (a sister title to Media), will take up the post of managing editor at Media, effective 1 July.

David will work with Media’s editorial teams in Hong Kong and Singapore to strengthen the title’s coverage of the digital sector, as the demarcation between offline and online becomes increasingly blurred.

As a result of the integration, readers can expect to see a significant boost of digital content - both news and analysis - in Media. The magazine will also publish regular, in-depth reports covering the digital sector.

In addition, newly revamped Media and Brand Republic Asia websites will be unveiled in coming weeks.
