Aegis Media regional CEO Patrick Stahle confirmed that the company is seeking a replacement, who will be based in India rather than Australia.
“He had the choice to move to South Asia but, for family reasons, Richard preferred to stay in Australia,” said Stahle. “He’s been tremendously loyal and important to our development in Asia-Pacific. He can check out with pride.”
Halmarick took on the sub-regional role a little over two years ago. His departure comes after a significant restructuring at Aegis Media in India and South Asia, which saw former Aegis Media India country director Charles Berley Jenarius resign in late 2007.
Halmarick was with Carat Australia for almost a decade, and is expected to pursue other interests after leaving.
