Lim will report to Hakuhodo’s executive marketing director Akinori Toma and managing director Yutaka Shimizu.
Lim will start off in the Hong Kong office. His focus will be creative and strategy for both existing and new business, as well as raising the creative bar of the agency.
Lim was previously creative director for Team HSBC at JWT Hong Kong (the worldwide collaboration partner of JWT London on HSBC branding), working on regional campaigns for the bank. He left that role at the end of July.
Prior to that, he was director for regional creative at Asatsu-DK Asia in Singapore.
Meanwhile, Greg Sutcliffe, ECD of Team HSBC, is also resigning from the agency next month. He is currently on annual leave.
Desmond So, CEO of JWT Hong Kong, said new senior creatives would be "announced shortly".
