Guangzhou's Leatop Plaza selects O&M for branding assignment

GUANGZHOU – Following a competitive pitch against two other 4A agencies, Ogilvy & Mather Guangzhou was awarded the integrated branding communications assignment for Guangzhou’s Leatop Plaza.

Located in Guangzhou’s business district, Leatop Plaza is a new grade A office property designed for the world's top companies and slated to open in mid 2011. It is the first commercial real estate development for Guangdong Leatop Real Estate Investment, and is expected to become the latest landmark in the provincial capital.

O&M’s scope of marketing services will include overall brand strategy development and promotions planning, public relations and visual identity design.

Jinfeng Fu, general manager of Guangdong Leatop, said Ogilvy’s deep understanding of Leatop’s positioning in the market was the reason they chose the agency.

“It was powerful, thought provoking and consistent with Leatop Plaza’s values and culture. We are excited to see what Ogilvy can do for this important assignment,” said Fu.

Charles Chiu, chairman of Ogilvy & Mather Guangzhou Group, said the new branding concept will provide a platform for all sorts of great ideas over time.

“It will generate real support and, ultimately, demand for Leatop Plaza,” said Chiu.
