Grueber to leave Jetstar marketing job
Singapore-based Jetstar Asia's head of marketing Dorit Grueber is leaving the Qantas-backed low-budget airline a year-and-a-half after joining from Asia Pacific Breweries, where she was former assistant GM of marketing. Grueber was instrumental in hiring Ogilvy & Mather's Redcard unit to take the brand battle to a slew of low-cost rivals, including Valuair, which has since been merged with the Qantas' subsidiary ahead of an anticipated category consolidation.
