GroupM Singapore promotes Wong and Ramesh

SINGAPORE - GroupM has made two senior management changes in Singapore, promoting Maxus MD Sony Wong (pictured) to a dual role running Maxus and MindShare, and head of trading Bharad Ramesh to deputy MD of MindShare.

Ramesh will also take on a role as regional managing partner for the GlaxoSmithKline business, an account he has worked on since he joined MindShare in August 2007.

MindShare CEO Jeffrey Seah commented: "Since Sony joined Maxus in September 2007 he has led a new business drive that has garnered more than 20 new assignments for the MindShare/Maxus group."

He added: "Bharad has redefined and expanded our GSK regional relationship. And as trading head, he has struck numerous market-leading partnerships. Together with Sony, he will help us refine the future of MindShare in Singapore as a business planning, invention and exchange agency."

Both promotions hint at an elevated move within GroupM for Seah, who joined from Starcom in November 2006 where he latterly took on a regional role as director of diversified services. However no further changes have been confirmed.
