Grey promotes Rao to national role

Grey Global Group has promoted Shanghai planning director Naveen Rao to a national role reporting to Mike Amour, regional CEO, as part of a move to strengthen its planning offer in China. <BR><BR> Rao (pictured), who has been with Grey for 13 years, will remain in Shanghai with the new title of national planning director for Grey Global Group/China and Hong Kong. A Grey veteran of 13 years, he first came to China five years ago after running Grey's key Danone business out of Bangalore from 1998 to 2001. <BR><BR> Amour described Rao as "a terrific through-the-line thinker and versatile internationalist who has proven himself in the tough China market". Rao has been charged with building a stronger, more integrated planning culture across the mainland and Hong Kong for Grey's clients.
