Joining from Grey Global Group in China, Patrick Png has been hired as group creative director and Kit Koh joins from Ogilvy & Mather Taiwan as associate creative director.
In account servicing, the agency has named Christina Chan as business director, Wednesday Chi as account director and Eva Zhang as account manager.
Both Chi and Zhang will report to Tze Kiat, the group account director on international business.
Yvonne Lo, the agency's chief executive officer who took over the role in July following the departure of Lau Seng Yee, said the appointments were all new positions, giving the shop a headcount of about 80. "We are strengthening creative and account management to match the expansion of our clients," Lo said. "We want to make sure that we have sufficient manpower and brainpower to work efficiently with our clients," Lo added.
Png will work with BBDO's two other group creative chiefs Alumi Lu and Almon Lam. Png has spent nine of his 15 years in advertising in China.
He has worked on international brands such as Budweiser, McDonald's and Motorola. Chan brings more than 12 years advertising experience to her role, having working at international agencies, including Bates Hong Kong, McCann Erickson Guangming Hong Kong, Saatchi and Saatchi Shanghai and Grey Beijing.
