Greater China: Adkom's Searl to join Emphasis as GM of advertising

HONG KONG: Roger Searl has departed Adkom to take on the newly-created role of general manager of advertising sales at Emphasis Media.

Searl had spent three years as general manager at Adkom since its Hong Kong launch.

"Emphasis will allow me to come up with really creative ideas for clients,"said Searl. "In addition to the magazines, there are a number of key areas that Emphasis looks after that I see having huge potential." He pointed to media offerings such as inflight movies, luggage reclaim billboards, airport lounges, lounge invitations, inflight menus and duty-free and video game entertainment guides, as examples of the range of media that Emphasis controls.

During his time at Adkom, the company grew from one publication - Action Asia - to five, including AsiaSpa.
