Grape rumoured to have taken on Unilever's media

Unilever is thought to have exchanged media partners in Korea, although confirmation was unavailable at press time.

The FMCG giant is thought to have moved its business, carrying estimated annual billings of US$17 million, to Grape, a local full service agency which already handles creative for some Unilever brands. Grape was supported in the pitch by Initiative, one of Unilever's two club agencies in the region. The business was previously held by Diamond Ad, majority owned by WPP, and backed by MindShare in its endeavour to retain the buiness. The pitch was part of a review of media suppliers held every four years. Earlier this year Unilever centralised its Indonesian media business with Initiative, after planning was split between it and MindShare. The two agencies share media repsonsibilities for Unilever in Asia, although the FMCG giant uses an in-house operation for the Philippines.
