Grand Hyatt launches new Residence meeting space

BEIJING The Grand Hyatt Beijing has introduced 'The Residence' meeting space to take advantage of the growing demand for deluxe meetings facilities in the Chinese capital.

Phoebe Lee, public relations manager of the property, said: "The Residence is a sophisticated venue encapsulating innovative art with exclusive service. "It is an ideal place for high-profile cocktail receptions, important meetings and product launches." The Residence covers 1,140 sqm and has a fourmetre-high ceiling. It can accommodate varioussized events from a boardroom meeting of 14 people to a large-scale multipurpose function for 600 people. The space contains three meeting rooms, a lounge area and a private office. The Residence has two coffee bars and a dedicated Residence chef can be booked to cater to special events in the space's own kitchen. Designed to accommodate various pieces of modern Chinese art, Lee said the aim is to give an ambiance of elegance and style with a contemporary Chinese feel. The Grand Hyatt has installed the latest in audiovisual technology and wireless internet connections in the space. The Residence concept is being rolled out in a number of other Grand Hyatt properties in Asia.
