Gosh scoops Elizabeth Arden and Mayer work

SINGAPORE: Gosh Advertising has won the Elizabeth Arden (Asia-Pacific) and Mayer Marketing accounts.

The agency will handle above- and below-the-line work on both assignments, and will drive an aggressive strategy of gaining market share for both clients.

According to Ted Choo, chief executive officer at Gosh, the two wins are valued at US$800,000.

"For Elizabeth Arden, we will be looking to extend the brand from the customer's point of view. The brand previously used a couple of agency and design houses. But there was the need for consolidation and consistency, said Choo.

The agency will launch a campaign for Elizabeth Arden in the next three months, featuring actress Catherine Zeta Jones, who recently signed up as the cosmetic brand's new face.

Mayer Marketing, a retailer of white goods, has six showrooms in Singapore, and will be changing its model of direct selling. "We will try to build the Mayer Marketing brand, rather than the products that come under it, such as Kitchen Aid, added Choo.

He noted that the Mayer Marketing campaign was currently on hold due to back-end problems at the company.

The agency's client roster includes Sun Microsystems and Bang & Olufsen.
