Giant phones up 'wow' factor for SingTel's 3loGy

SingTel is taking its 3loGy 3G campaign outdoors via gigantic Sony Ericsson mobile phones.

Developed in conjunction with MEC and Clear Channel bus shelter panels, the images on the screens include STI market index information, Channel News Asia news clips, movie trailers, live traffic updates and a Victoria's Secret video clip.

The campaign is augmented by two-dimensional static 3loGy posters and follows SingTel's creation of a video environment at its 3loGy website, with the bus shelters aiming to extend this concept.

"Outdoor was specifically chosen at strategic locations," said SingTel marcomms manager Xen Chia. "Stunning outdoor creative, in combination with such an ambient medium, delivers the promise of 3loGy. And more importantly, it adds a 'wow' factor."

SingTel launched its 3loGy campaign in April of this year through a major multimedia blitz. Post-campaign research by Clear Channel demonstrated that more than 70 per cent of working adults perceived SingTel to be the leading service provider, with 25 per cent of more affluent working adults intending to upgrade to a 3G phone.
