GGL China taps AKQA for portal revamp

SHANGHAI - American online gaming company Global Gaming League (GGL) has selected AKQA without a pitch, tasking the agency with revamping its online portal in China.

GGL has charged AKQA with improving the portal’s “game speak” to make it more Chinese-oriented, and customising and enhancing the site’s interactive experience.

“We want to transform GGL China into an ‘ESPN meets Facebook’ kind of interactive space which allows gamers to play games, send instant messages and network with one another all at once,” said Lily Wang, media manager, AKQA Shanghai.
