The remit includes managing the overall communication plan at the corporate level, as well as supporting the marketing objectives of its various business units. Prema Sagar, founder and principal at Genesis, said: "We won the business after a detailed pitching process, which involved a presentation to the senior management of Motorola."
The review also included IPAN, Corporate Voice Shandwick and LinOpinion.
Sagar attributed the win to Genesis' decade-old telecom experience. Genesis' roster includes Hutchison Telecom, UTStarcom and Asia Netcom among others. Looking at the challenge facing Motorola, Sagar said: "The role of public relations will be to reinforce the leadership position of Motorola in both GSM and CDMA technologies."
