GE Money selects Weber Shandwick

Weber Shandwick has won the GE Money Asia account after a four-way pitch against three other multinational agencies.

The agency is charged with raising the company's profile in Asia while communicating its corporate positioning to consumers through stakeholder and media relations. "As GE Money expands its footprint in Asia, the business established a regional communications infrastructure to strengthen its relationship with the media. With this new structure came the need for an agency partner," said Jin Montesano, GE Money's vice-president, communications, Asia. She added that Weber Shandwick was awarded the account based on its strong track record in financial services and interest in pioneer branding. GE Money Asia has operations across the region in China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand. It provides a range of financial services for risk management and consumer lending products.
