Gavin Anderson launches mainland China operation

BEIJING - Global financial, corporate and public affairs communications consultancy Gavin Anderson has expanded its Asia-Pacific presence with the opening of an office in Beijing, its first in the mainland.

The Omnicom-owned firm’s China operation has been based in Hong Kong since 1985 and has worked with a combination of multinational and Chinese companies. Brion Tingler (pictured), who returns to Beijing as director for China after a two-year stint with the company in New York, said that the office would continue to assist its clients in China with both global or domestic growth ambitions.

Richard Barton, chief executive for Asia ex-Japan, commented that the establishment of an office in Beijing would provide momentum for further regional and global expansion measures.

Gavin Anderson has a total of 16 offices worldwide. In addition to Beijing and Hong Kong, its Asia-Pacific presence encompasses Tokyo, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Indonesia, Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra.
