Gaerlan joins JWT Manila in new role

JWT has hired Nadja Gaerlan to fill the newly-created role of client services director in the final phase of a restructure instigated by vice-chairman Matt Seddon, following the appointment of ECD Dave Ferrer last year.

Gaerlan joined the agency from Hemisphere-Leo Burnett. JWT Manila now has five senior teams, made up of creative directors or assistant creative directors all reporting to Ferrer. Each senior team will also oversee one junior team, making 10 teams in total. "We took the decision to flatten the whole department and break up the previous group system," said Seddon. "I am pleased with the progress we have made in pushing our creative product since Dave arrived last year."

Further new teams hired include Brandie Tan and Tin Sanchez, working on Ford, Pfizer and Nestlé, and Carl Urgino and Joe Dy, who will work on Unilever, Red Horse Beer and Shell.
