Futuristic vision in showcase of Microsoft wares

Microsoft has unveiled a new classroom display that looks to showcase how technology will transform learning in the future.

Conceived with the city's Infocomm Development Authority and developed by creative agency Asylum, the 'Classroom of the Future' project is located at the National Institute of Education. Asylum creative director Chris Lee said: "Having the freedom to design the whole project gave us a platform to showcase what experiential design is about. All the details, from the interior right down to every button you click on the computer interface, was thought through. We spent weeks interviewing teachers, students and educators on the teaching methodology as well." Lee said the classroom display illustrates how teachers will be able to use RFID technology to visually aid teaching.
