The win includes ongoing support for the Nations Cup 2009 and 2010 as well as generating awareness of the World Netball Championships 2011 ahead of the event.

The 2011 event will be the 12th Netball World Championships, and will be held in Singapore. The city-state beat Australia in the bidding process.
