FT names Hughes global commercial director

LONDON - Financial Times worldwide advertising director Ben Hughes has been promoted to global commercial director and deputy CEO.

Tasked with strengthening the FT's partnerships with corporate clients, Hughes (pictured) will continue to oversee the company's global advertising operations, in addition to conferences and the FT research centre. He will continue to report to John Ridding, CEO.

Separately, Frances Brindle has been named global marketing director, adding Asia and the Americas to her existing portfolio of Europe, Middle East and Africa. Overseeing global efforts to maintain consistent branding, Brindle will look after audience measurement metrics and customer support. She will also report to Ridding.
