HONG KONG - In a move to broaden the reach of its online content, the Financial Times (FT) has joined 'First Click Free' with Google and 30 partner websites.

As a result of the initiative, users will have free access up to 30 stories per month from premium content that would previously have been available exclusively to subscribers.

The FT is aiming to increase FT.com’s presence and make it “a more integral part of the Internet’s web of links”, explained Ian Cheng, the website’s managing editor and publisher. The move follows the recent launch of ‘View From the Markets’, a series of online videos featuring interviews with respected economists, investment strategists and fund managers.
