The implementation of Google search, located at the top of every Friendster page, follows the March announcement that the two would collaborate on keyword-targeted text and display advertising. Prior to this, Friendster had partnered with Google’s top rival, Yahoo.
70 per cent of Friendster’s global traffic hails from Southeast Asia, led by Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia. Singapore and Hong Kong are also in the top ten.
