Foreign media companies should focus on partnerships: Duncan

HONG KONG - Foreign media ventures in China should focus their efforts now on building relationships with local media companies, according to Clark Duncan, managing director of BDA China, a telecommunications, media and technology consultancy.

Duncan noted that the stable environment created by a strict regulatory environment, had allowed local companies to thrive, consequently positioning them as a more attractive option for future partnerships with foreign players, should media regulations on ownership and operation be relaxed.
