Folli Follie hands China PR to Ruder Finn

SHANGHAI - Luxury jewellery and accessories brand Folli Follie has appointed Ruder Finn as its public relations agency-of-record in China following a competitive pitch that included local and international agencies.

Ruder Finn will oversee Folli Follie’s strategic planning, media relations and ongoing media outreach, as well as ePR programmes. Folli Follie, a Greek brand, entered China in 2002 and claims to have 98 points of sale in 27 cities nationwide.

Among its past public relations activities was the sponsorship of Alkistis Protopsalti’s concert at the Forbidden City in 2007, as well as charitable initiatives in Greater China including the Cancer Fund in Hong Kong, the Smile Angel Foundation in China for the Sichuan earthquake and a successful three-day charity sale with the proceeds going to the Hong Kong Red Cross China Relief Fund.

“Folli Follie is fully committed to the China market as it is a very important part of our expansion strategy,” said Geoffrey Mak, general manager of Folli Follie China, of Ruder Finn’s appointment.

In addition to Folli Follie, the Folli Follie Group owns Links of London acquired in 2006.
