According to Jessica Somers, account manager at Fleishman-Hillard, the agency is the first AOR for the brand, as its PR duties were previously handled by a part-time agency.

She added that the agency will manage media outreach initiatives, sponsorship opportunities and create buzz by profiling success stories, “of people who were on the site and have gotten married”.

"Match.com is dedicated to helping Australians meet and fall in love,” Darcy Cameron, director of dating for Match.com Australia, said in a statement. “We are really excited to be working with Fleishman-Hillard to tell the Match.com story. Their passion and expertise makes the team a perfect fit for Match.com.”

Match.com launched in 1995 and claims to have “helped redefine the way people meet and fall in love”. The website operates subscription-based online dating sites in eight languages in 24 countries on five continents.

Match.com further operates the online dating section on MSN across Asia, Australia, the United States and Latin America.
