Five vie for Mazda China accounts

BEIJING - JWT, Hakuhodo, Publicis, Shunya and incumbent DMG have faced off in the first round of the pitch for Mazda China's M2 and M3 marques.

Of the four agencies, three already have a connection with the Ford subsidiary. JWT is one of Ford’s key global creative agencies, while Hakuhodo handles Mazda’s Japan business.

Meanwhile, DMG is aligned with Chinese car giant FAW, which previously marketed the M3 marque.

That model, along with the yet-to-launch M2, will now be marketed and sold by Changan Mazda Sales Company, a subsidiary of the Changan Ford joint venture.
