Time Inc Asia is seeking to sell Emphasis Custom Media (ECM), just three
years after taking full ownership of the inflight entertainment
publishing company.
At least five groups have expressed an interest in purchasing ECM.
According to Time, it "decided last year that another company with
appropriate experience would be better positioned to give ECM the
resources and support it needs to enhance its creativity, efficiency and
service".
"ECM operates like an advertising agency in that we are the steward of
someone else's brands. But while it is a successful business in its own
right, we believe that another kind of parent company would be better
positioned to lift ECM to a higher level," said ECM managing director
Jonathan Kiehnau.
