FEER goes monthly, chops 80 jobs
The Far Eastern Economic Review is changing its format from a newsweekly to monthly magazine following fierce competition from "more immediate media alternatives". The move will see the 58-year old title, which has been losing money for the past six years, depend largely on circulation and select advertising. The format change will result in the loss of 80 jobs.
