Teo makes the switch from journalism, where she was most recently the Jakarta correspondent for Singapore’s Business Times. In addition to managing key clients, Teo will also coordinate business development for Southeast Asia and work closely with FD’s regional head office in Hong Kong and its joint headquarters in New York and London.
“Singapore is a key centre for any international consultancy which is serious about doing business in Asia, and we see a local presence as a core strategic component of our regional development,” said Footitt.
FD, which touts itself as the leading M&A communications advisor in Asia-Pacific, has grown primarily through acquisition since launching in Asia in late 2005.
Last year, it acquired three practice divisions from Greater China consultancy Occasions, and also bought out Australia’s Third Person Communications.
