FCB rolls out self promotional ads to beat downturn

TAIWAN: FCB has launched a six-week television and print campaign in Taiwan in a bid to boost its business prospects to beat the island's sluggish economy.

"The campaign reminds people that advertising sells products and builds brands,

said FCB Taiwan general manger, Elizabeth Chavez.

"Historically, FCB has been quiet in Taiwan, and this is the first time the agency has made a big noise,

Chavez added.

The campaign included two 30-second TVCs, print executions for magazines and newspapers, as well as for outdoor.

The campaign showcases a number of the agency's major clients, including Compaq, Chunghwa Telecommunications, New Zealand Milk (Fernleaf), Nabisco (Oreo), and S.C. Johnson (Windex).

Chavez oversaw the campaign's strategy, while FCB Taiwan executive creative director Herman Hsu, and art director Floris Hsieh handled the creative.

The commercials were produced by Peter Chen of Color Film. Media was planned by FCB Taiwan executive media director, Kevin Lee.
