FCB recruits Wunderman duo

FCB has confirmed the hire of two new creatives, after the departure of two more of its creative team.

Associate CD Priscilla Swee will be relocating to Hong Kong, while art director Evonne Ng has departed for a similar role at Euro RSCG. FCB Southeast Asia and Singapore ECD Rob Sherlock brushed aside speculation that the departures left the team understaffed: "All reports of our 'last man standing' status are not only untrue, but beyond ridiculous." He said the agency had hired two new creatives from Wunderman -- art director Nicole Pang and copywriter Leon Wong -- who will join CD Noor Aziz, also ex-Wunderman. The trio will initially focus on the Motorola interactive business, but Sherlock noted that he is in the process of hiring another six people. "We're redefining our creative department based on the needs of our clients -- including the three key regional accounts run out of Singapore (Kraft, Fontera and Moto-rola)," he said. FCB has moved regional oversight of its Kraft business to Singapore from Hong Kong, following the start of its 'Centre of Excellence' strategy in late 2005 (Media, November 18, 2005). Sherlock moved from Hong Kong to Singapore to take on the twin Southeast Asia and Singapore ECD roles in early 2006, after a year that saw the departures of previous ECD Rob Gaxiola and head of art Eric Yeo.
