Eye Witness fills gap left by Asian Lawyer's demise

HONG KONG: A law, leisure and lifestyle publication has been launched, taking off from where the now-defunct Asian Lawyer left off.

Eye Witness, published by Globe Summit and edited by former Asian Lawyer editor Edward Johnson, launched this month with a 5,000-copy controlled circulation first issue. Unlike Asian Lawyer, which closed at the end of last year, Johnson said Eye Witness would target a wider audience of lawyers as well the business community.

"Eye Witness is a vehicle for intellectual debate and discussion of issues which affect the legal and the business community, Johnson said.

He added that the magazine would also address the range of activities that were common to both the communities, from leisure to the purchase of branded goods, cars and vacations. "We have a large segment of the magazine written to appeal to the tastes of high net worth individuals," Johnson added.
