Executive upheavals continue at ATV

HONG KONG - ATV's recently appointed chairman Ricky Wong Wai Kay (pictured) reportedly resigned today, after being on board for only 12 days.

Since the initial report, Wong has stated that he has not resigned.

Personality clashes with Linus Cheung, the station’s new executive chairman, were cited as the reason for his alleged departure.

Wong took the ATV post on 4 December while continuing to serve as chairman and executive director of City Telecom, which he founded.

The news comes on the heels of senior executives Dewy Ip, executive vice-president, Peter Kwan, senior VP for news and public affairs, and Howard Ho, senior VP for engineering, who all resigned earlier this month.

Veteran newsman Leung Ka-wing, who also resigned last week, has decided to stay on at the station.
