Ex-Gateway CFO joins Draft as it gears for change

HONG KONG: Draftworldwide is strengthening its Asia-Pacific operations with a slew of new hires, including James Peters to the new post of regional finance director.

Previously the Asia-Pacific CFO of US computer company Gateway, Peters' main task is to take on the challenges from the agency's growing and diverse portfolio of services as it transforms from a below-the-line to a through-the-line agency.

Draft regional director, Greg Paull, also hinted at more acquisitions to come. "He (Peters) will play an important role in several of our coming acquisitions, particularly in China, Australia and Southeast Asia, as well as building in new levels of efficiency and accountability in our existing businesses,

said Paull.

Draft has also recruited staff in Singapore - Chye Ling Lim, ex-Lowe, joined as art director, Ian Barnes was lured from Batey Ads Kuala Lumpur to the role of senior copywriter, while Divya Dana left The Lacek Group for the post of account manager.
