Evo to launch in Thailand

BANGKOK - Evo, a UK car magazine published by Dennis Publishing, has launched in Thailand through a licensing deal with local publisher Penta Media.

The Thai edition of Evo hit the shelves last week with a cover price of 100 baht (US$3). The magazine carries a mix of UK and locally-produced content and of 158 pages, 31 were advertising.

Andrew Batt, executive director of Bangkokstation Network, which publishes BusinessWeek Thailand, commented: "Evo is entering what is already a crowded sector, with the home-grown titles competing for readers and advertisers alongside other licensed titles from overseas such as AutoBild, AutoCar and Top Gear."
