Business Week, Asian Wall Street Journal, Reader's Digest, Ming
Pao, Time Asia, Asiaweek and Newsweek were among the big winners at the
recent Society of Publishers in Asia (SOPA) awards for editorial
excellence.
About 200 people attended the awards, which aim to pay tribute to
editorial excellence in both the traditional and new media fields, and
recognise the rise in industry standards.
The gala function was held in Hong Kong and SOPA chairman Barrie
Goodridge (also Publicitas Asia chief executive) officiated, while Ruth
de Aquino, president of the World Editors Forum, was the keynote
speaker.
