EVENTS: Asia-Pacific Advertising Festival - Dentsu makes strong showing at AdFest

The 5th Asia-Pacific AdFest was attended by a large contingent of Dentsu representatives, who took the Best of the Best for TV for the third year running, while Best of Print went to BBDO Bangkok.

Almost 550 advertising professionals attended the event, where 16 judges awarded 101 prizes from 2,400 entries. Organisers said the show saw a 15 per cent increase on last year's entries.

At the judges' panel discussion, chaired by Jimmy Lam, participants debated 'what makes an award winning ad'. The three-day event also featured presentations from Donald Gunn, Akira Kagami and Alfredo Marcantonio in the run up to the awards.
