SINGAPORE: Euro RSCG has kicked off an acquisition drive, buying a

telemarketing company, as part of a plan to increase non-advertising

income in Singapore from 10 per cent to 25 per cent by next year

end.

The agency has bought a 49 per cent stake in telemarketing firm

SmartVoice, which has offices in Singapore and Taiwan, and clients

including Singapore Telecommunications and American Express.

Euro is also negotiating to buy an independent PR company with a

regional presence.

Along with acquisitions, Euro has added to its senior head count.

They are Jennifer Boxer, previously associate creative director at

independent Sydney agency Foster Nunn Loveder, as creative director on

digital and direct, and Stephane Chabanel, previously chief executive

officer for New York web company Co Channel.com, as interactive

director. Three new creatives have also joined Euro's direct marketing

division.

Said Euro managing director, Vishnu Mohan: "The team is totally

integrated with the existing agency structure with the specific remit to

broaden the agency's creative marketing potential. I firmly believe

clients need to have one point of contact in the agency.

"That person needs to understand the multiple disciplines and draw upon

the resources of the agency."
