ESPN Star Sports promotes Davis
ESPN Star Sports has named Jamie Davis as the company's next managing director with effect from September 1, 2005. Davis, who has been president of Star China since September 2001, succeeds Rik Dovey who is leaving the company after nine years. Davis' China responsibilities will pass to Star CEO Michelle Guthrie, with support from Wei Zhang, until recently MD of CNBC China, in the newly-created role of Star China chief operating officer.
